Please take a moment today to thank the heroes who protect our freedom. You can disagree with the wars and the politicans, but these brave people put their lives on the line every day to make sure we stay safe. My hero, Capt. John David Hortman, was killed 8 August 2011 in action. He is very greatly missed. In the picture is his niece McKenna, who was less than a year old when her uncle died.
